NOTE: Do it all in one visit to the town clerk:
Fill out the application, get a ballot, vote, return the ballot to the clerk.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
• Absentee ballots are available 30 days before an election
• Ballots must arrive by 5pm on election day
• Ballots can be delivered in person at the polls on election day
• Use black ink to fill in the ovals on the ballot
• Use 2 stamps if mailing to ensure it arrives

Send an Application for an Absentee Ballot:

Use the link above to download the online form, fill it in and print it. Or...
Get the application from the town clerk: in person; mail a handwritten request with signature; email an attachment with signature.

Sign your application. Return it to the town clerk in person, by U.S. Mail, by scanning and attaching to an email or by fax. You can confirm that the town clerk has received it by going to this link: Voter Information Lookup
Receive your Ballot and Vote as You Would Normally:

Receive your ballot in person from the clerk or it should arrive in a couple of days by mail after the clerk gets your application. The packet will include the ballot, instructions, a small envelope with an affidavit on it and a larger envelope for mailing your ballot.

Use black ink to mark your choices. Fill in the side on the affidavit stating your reason for voting absentee. Sign the affidavit. Put the ballot in the smaller affidavit envelope and seal it. On the large outer envelope, fill in the name of the town or city where you are entitled to vote, write your full name, address and voting place in the upper left hand corner. Add two stamps for postage.
Return your Ballot by 5pm on Election Day:

Mail your ballot to the town clerk 5-7 days before the election OR drop it off at the town clerk's office before election day (hours below) OR deliver it to the polls on election day by 5pm. You can track your absentee ballot using this link: Voter Information Lookup
